Principle Service Engineer

The Principle Service Engineer is a senior technologist with a strong Windows systems background. Significant experience with Hosted Services, Windows Development, and Customer Support required. Some experience with trading systems or billing is ideal.

This is a tremendous opportunity to join a well-funded startup that is growing very quickly. You will be expected to take ownership of key areas and provide leadership.

Job Duties:

• Establish and maintain our Hosted Service Infrastructure.

• Develop custom solutions in C#/.NET.

• Work with Development and QA to ensure flawless deployments.

• Define a clear mechanism for proactive monitoring/alerting of our production systems.

• Provide feedback to development to ensure proper monitoring/alerting controls.

• Customer Account Management. As needed, manage reported customer incidents to completion.

• Implement Monitoring/Alerting mechanisms for our Hosted Service.

• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years Hosting Services Experience

• Proficient in C#/.NET

• Proficient in SQL

• Proficient in general Windows 2008 Server Maintenance

• Proficient in Scripting/Automation (PERL, Powershell, VB).

• Some knowledge of different software development life-cycles such as Agile and SCRUM.

• Some knowledge of Billing, Collections and Cash Management systems.

• Some knowledge of network/security devices (CISCO/Juniper/F5)

• BS in CS or equivalent work experience
