What can you do with all this time you now have on your hands? Here are a couple of suggestions I have been doing to keep my mind from going blank.

I'm broke, so I have to do something absolutely free. Doesn't that put a damper on things? Well, do a search on Yahoo and there are tons of free things to do. Join Freecycle and get tons of free stuff from everyone in town. Just don't sell the stuff you get, you are not allowed to sell these "trash to treasure" items. Nor can you make money cause you are on the dole, remember?

What else can I do? Hmmm.  Join Facebook. Now, I told myself I was going to spend all my time on Facebook honestly looking for a job. I didn't quite make it, though. I now have a free farm, with lots of free animals, free friends, and lots of crops to harvest. All free.

Career enthusiasts just don't know what they are missing. How did I ever live without this Facebook addiction? Oh, and my friends send me free imaginary drinks, too. Yep, I get wild and frisky on all of that imaginary hard liquor. I highly recommend it. But, there are some good things to discover on Facebook, which leads me to yet another free idea. Join groups that help you develop your hobby. My hobby is genealogy. I love history, I love to read... so, I joined some genealogy groups on Facebook. Well, with that all done, of course I had to do a cemetery survey. That involves taking your camera and laptop to a local cemetery and recording the headstones you find there. You are doing future generations a great service, and it only takes a little gas money to get to your local cemetery. I am positive some ancestor will thank me some day.

Also, while off work, and while hunting for a place to store this cemetery information, I joined Find-A-Grave and Flickr. No one likes my headstone shots, but maybe they are not supposed to. I also learned how to Twitter, and if I had the money, I'd be active on Linked In. But, then again, Linked In is not free, so I digress.

I've reunited with old friends, shared some fine times "Down On The Farm" on Facebook, and I've learned new skills. It worked for me. Maybe it will work for you.
