Description:
The role of the Sr. Threat Intelligence Analyst is to lead in the collection, correlation, research and analysis of threat intelligence data, from internal and external sources, to achieve the goal of reducing risk of cyber threats to the Firm. The analyst is an individual skilled in the area of hacker/hacktivist group capabilities and intentions, hacker methodologies, methods and motives and uses these data sources from a converged security environment to identify potentially malicious behavior and activities and uncover malicious patterns and trends. He/She will apply analytic techniques to the data to discern threat risks as well as learn new commercial tools and techniques to assist with the analysis. Document and provide regular threat analysis briefings, reports and presentations to the management.
Position Description:
• Lead the analysis of intelligence data gathered and provides technical threat assessments regarding company systems, executives and assets.
• Actively monitor and research current threats as well as new and emerging threats as they begin to develop. Work with the individual teams to implement the recommended mitigation steps.
• Test and validate that mitigation steps that have been implemented remain effective.
• Develop and maintain a daily - Threat Report summarizing the current and emerging landscape cyber and physical threats.
• As necessary, provide detailed analysis reports of specific cyber and physical threats.
• Mentor, coach and assign / manage workload for junior members of the team.
• Attend Intelligence Community meetings/conferences, participating in focus group presentations and interact with industry peers regarding technical issues.
• Develop processes for developing and refining Intelligence Requirements
• Maintain familiarity with security operations and incident response technologies, methodologies, signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Maintains effective liaisons with federal, state and local criminal justice agencies to gather intelligence information on criminal activity that may adversely impact the company.
• Responsibilities will include careful analysis of risk and threat conditions and associated mitigations or remediation's available through the use of appropriate technical security applications and/or use of security resources
Technical Skill Requirements:
• 3 years with intelligence analysis experience and at least five years information systems security experience
• CISSP or other Network Security and Information Assurance Certifications or equivalent
• CPP or other advanced security certification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivelent
• Ability to write concise analytical products in intelligence or operational support environments.
• Experience with information security devices (e. g., firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems) and applications (e.g. security information management tools (e.g., Net Forensics, ArcSight)
• Fine attention to detail.
• Ability to network with corporate security professionals
• Self-starter, capable of working on projects independently,
